Shirley Muhammad is the owner of Your Professional Tax & Accounting Services, where she has been the senior tax accountantfor the past 23 years. She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she currently resigns.

 

Ms. Muhammad graduated from Westinghouse High School, a public school located in Pittsburgh, PA. She graduated from Duquesne University also located in Pittsburgh,Pennsylvania where she received a bachelor’s degree in sociology-research and journalism. She later received a master’s degree in accountancy from the University of Phoenix.

 

She has been employed as an accountant for both city of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Controller’s Offices. Ms. Muhammad publishes fictional short stories entitle Helpless. These are short stories dealing with forensic tax fraud. Ms. Muhammad was the consultant to an original play, A Nation Can Rise No Higher Than Its Woman, She is an executive life coach where she helps individuals and teams to increase awareness, set up business goals and develop as leaders and influencers.

Ms. Muhammad’s pride and joy is developing projects and programs for her nonprofit organization, Your Sister’s Project, Inc. She also enjoys walking and taking photographs in nature.

She is a graduate of CORO Women in Leadership Class 8. Ms. Muhammad was selected in the 2008 New Pittsburgh Courier 50 Women of Excellence Award in Business.
